    Answer

There are 3 elements of packaging in Actimel.

The pick-up that holds the bottles together is made of flat cardboard, this is now widely recycled in the UK.
The bottle is made of HDPE which is the same type of plastic as milk bottles widely found in your local supermarket. An increasing number of local authorities currently collect and recycle this material.

To find out about what your local authority will collect from your home and where your local recycling banks are check on www.recyclenow.com and enter your post code.

The lid is made of aluminium foil which is not currently recyclable.

Danone is committed to reduce the amount of packaging we are using and facilitate the recycling of our materials. To find out more about our sustainability policy please visit our website www.danone.co.uk
