1,200 people work for Danone Research & Development world-wide, 500 of which are scientific researchers and experts; they cover a wide variety of domains such as nutrition, food engineering, microbiology, molecular biology, biochemistry, food safety, product development, sensorial evaluation and the study of consumer behavior to name just a few.
The Daniel Carasso Centre (shown above) near Palaiseau, France, is the Group’s main research facility. Its mission: develop tasty and balanced products delivering a health benefit.
