Top Tips

  • Set your alarm clock for 10 minutes before the rest of your family. Then you can make sure you’re ready before they wake up.
  • Lay out the clothes for you and your children for the next day before you go to bed.
  • Put all shoes, coats and bags by the front door.
  • Just say no to morning TV!
  • Sit down together for breakfast. Five minutes around the table gives them the chance to air their worries.
  • Keep a chart on the fridge that tells you which days they need their PE kit or you need your gym clothes.
  • Make sandwiches the night before (and keep in the fridge). Add fruit to lunch boxes in the morning.
  • Set a second alarm for five minutes before you need to leave the house.
  • Make a house rule that you never come back for anything. Sounds tough, but it’s amazing how it helps everyone to remember their things!
