Actimel is suitable for everyone in the family from age 3 upwards.

 

2. Why is Actimel not suitable for children under the age of 3?

Weaning infants and young children under three years old have specific nutritional requirements which Actimel has not been formulated to meet.

 

3. Who can drink Actimel?

4. Can you drink too much Actimel?

We recommend you take note of how a bottle of Actimel contributes to your Guideline Daily Amounts (GDAs) which are outlined on our packaging and ensure you enjoy Actimel as part of a healthy, balanced diet and lifestyle.

 

5. Is Actimel suitable for diabetics?

Diabetes is a complex condition. ‘the national charity Diabetes UK says that, ‘Although the food choices you make and your eating habits are important in helping you manage your diabetes, you should be able to continue enjoying a wide variety of foods as part of healthy eating.’ we suggest you see your GP or dietitian if you have any concerns.

Yes, Actimel products are suitable for vegetarians.

Yes, all Actimel products sold in the UK are gluten free.

 

8. Is Actimel suitable for pregnant women?

10. How should I store Actimel?

Actimel should be stored in the refrigerator below +6°C for no longer than the use by date marked on the product.

As with all chilled food products, we recommend that Actimel is transferred to your fridge as soon as you arrive home from shopping.

 

11. Is it possible to freeze Actimel?

Actimel is not intended to be frozen and we cannot guarantee the quality of the product if it has been frozen.

 

12. How should Actimel be consumed?

Most people drink Actimel, but why not try something new like pouring it on cereal or as part of a smoothie?

15. Why don’t you have Actimel in a bigger bottle?

Actimel does not exist in a bigger bottle as our consumer research has not until now identified a need for a new format. We do not exclude the possibility to launch it if the market situation changes.

 

16. Can I drink Actimel past its use by date?

To enjoy it at its best, you shouldn’t drink it past its use by date.

 

17. Can I put Actimel in a lunchbox?

Of course – just make sure it’s kept in a cool bag with an ice pack to make sure the temperature is kept below 6°C.
